• Minneord / Nekrolog: Karen passed away after a brief illness at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Monday November 11th. She was 72 years of age. A lifelong resident of Chelsea she was a daughter of the late Norma E. (Wallace) Hanson. Karen attended local schools. She was a member of the Red Devils Cheer Leaders and graduated with Chelsea High School Class of '65. She worked to support her family as a manager at Bradlees in Chelsea for many years. After the store closing, she continued working with various retail stores as an inventory specialist. In her lifetime Karen enjoyed movies and meals with friends, watching football games and following the NE Patriots. In addition to her mother she was also predeceased by a daughter Jodie Gallenski. She is survived by her beloved companion of 37 years, "Sonny" Theodore Kupczyewski. She was the devoted mother of Carrie Leone of Bridgewater, Dear sister of Maureen Brewster of Princeton, TX. Cherished grandmother of Samantha Salvage, John Leone and Nicholas Leone. Beloved aunt and great-aunt of Michael Brewster, Sr., Ian Haley and Michael Brewster, Jr. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to gather and visit at Welsh Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Friday November 15th from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 AM.
