    I was born in Grimstad, Norway on the 1 day of September, anno Domini 1900; I now reside at 36 2nd Place, Bklyn, New York.

    I emigrated to the United States of America from Christiania on the vessel Bergensfjord; my last foreogn residence was Fevik, Norway; I am not married.

    It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty and particularly to Haakon IVV, King of Norway, of whom I am now a subject.

    I arrived at the port of NY, on or about the 2 day of Oct., anno Domini 1922, I am not an anarchist; I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy; and it is my intention in goog faith to become a citizen of the United States of America and to permanently reside therin: SO HELP ME GOD.

    Den 15. desember ifjor forsvant paa en mystisk maate en 37 aar gammel norsk tømmermann, Arthur Homme, bosatt i 40 First Place, Brooklyn. Homme som arbeidet i Robins Dry Dock, Erie Basin, hadde arbeidet den dag og hadde levert inn sitt nummer om kvelden. Siden har han ikke vært aa finne, tross iherdige eftersøkninger.

    Forrige mandag blev liket av en ukjent mann funnet flytende i dokken ved 23. st., Tebo Yacht Basin. Liket blev bragt til Kings County Morgue, hvor det noen dager senere blev identifisert, og det viste sig da at det var den forsvunne Arthur Homme.

    Athur Homme som kommer fra Fjære ved Grimstad, hadde opholdt sig her i landet i 11 aar. Han var ugift. Begravelsen fant sted fredag 4. mars til Silver Mount Cemetery, Staten Island.
