  		George Preston Johnson (1908-1997) - Obituary (The Tribune, San Luis Obispo, California, Friday, February 14, 1997) George Johnson George Johnson, 88, of Atascadero died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, in his home. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Atascadero District Cemetery, Bob Brown officiating. Mr. Johnson was born July 23, 1908, in Oklahoma. He moved to Atascadero in 1942 from Monterey. He was a steamfitter for 30 years. He is survived by sons James P. Johnson of Paso Robles, Gerald R. Johnson of Atascadero and George T. Johnson of Sacramento; a daughter, Elizabeth R. Dotson of Templeton; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and sisters Violet Vogel of Diamond Bar, Stella Gates of Pacific Grove and Ruby Nodilo of Bend, Ore. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Myrtle, and four grandchildren.
