Ken was born on September 14, 1944 in Hinckley, MN. He enlisted in the Navy in 1963 and served until 1966. Ken then attended Pine Technical College and obtained his electrical license and then became owner of Wiener Electric Company
On April 16, 1970 he was united in marriage to Lorna Ruth Hendrickson. They had two sons: Tim and Ben, and one daughter: Geri whom they raised his family in Hinckley.
Ken couldn’t tolerate being idle and was an extremely hard worker. But, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and playing cards with his family and friends. He was generous with his time and service to many in the community. He was also a member of the America Legion.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Lorna Ruth Wiener, and his brother, Ernest Wiener.
He is survived by his children: Timothy (Kristin) Wiener of Waldorf, MD; Benjamin (Deborah) Wiener of Finlayson, MN; and Geri (Jonathan) Wilson of Bloomington, MN. Grandchildren: Andrew, Grace, Rebecca and Caleb Wiener. Siblings: Elizabeth (John) Sundin of Moose Lake, MN; Elaine (David) Maxwell of Coloma, WI; Darlene (Donald) Dunlap of Foley, MN; Carol Hoffman of Sartell, MN; Bonnie (Harvey) Ertl of St. Joseph, MN; Geoffrey Wiener of Mora, MN.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church in Hinckley with Rev. Kevin Carr officiating. Music is being provided by Janet Sikkink. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley, MN.
