Henry Martin Mathisen (1889-1959) and Marie Regina Kenny (1893-) - Marriage (Brooklyn Eagle, Brooklyn, New York, Sunday, June 26, 1921) Mathisen - Kenny.
Miss Marie Regina Kenny, daughter of Mrs. Barbara Kenny of 617 8th ave., was a bride of yesterday afternoon, her wedding to Henry Martin Mathisen taking place tit the St. Saviour's Church, 8th ave. and 6th st.. at 5 o'clock, the Rev. Ulick Buckley officiating. Miss Lillian Reinecke attended the bride as maid of honor and William H. Bishop was best man for Mr. Mathisen.
Miss Kenny's gown was of orchid taffeta and Spanish lace, with a hat of orchid taffeta trimrned with ostrich
and a corsage of orchids and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor wore apple green taffeta with a corsage of
pink sweet peas. Because of a recent death in the bride's family the wedding was a quiet one, only the bridal
party and immediate families attending. A small reception at the Hotel St. George followed the ceremony.
Mr. Mathisen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Torsten Mathisen, 7901 Ridge blvd., a graduate of the University of
Pennsylvania, and a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. During the war he served as a first lieutenant in the
United States Infantry. Miss Kenny, who is an Erasmus Hall High School graduate, entertained the boys during
the war, singing in the various camps. |
