Mrs. Nannie Walker
On October 15. Mrs. Nannie Walker of Burtonsville, Alberta, passed away at the age of 86 years. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by four sons: Andrew of Kelowna. B.S., Ryley in Edmonton, Paul and Eugene of Burtonsville. Three daughters, Mrs. E. L. Whitney and Mrs. Holmes of Burtonsville and Mrs. G. Raymond of Keephill, Alberta.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 17 at 2:00 o'clock from the Free Methodist Church. Rev. N. Rogers will officiate and interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Wedding Bells
Mr. W. H. Walker and Miss Nannie Haddon were joined in wedlock at high noon July 7, 1907 in the presence of about one hundred relatives and friends.
Mr Walker is a prosperous farmer living near Burmah, and Miss Nannie Haddon is the daughter of the late David G. Haddon. She is an accomplished lady and has many friends throughout the county.
The bride was tastefully attired in white and the groom in conventional black. The Wedding took place at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Nancy Ellen Haddon. Immidiately after the ceremony a sumptuous dinner was served in the grove, after which the guests returned to the house and were entertain with music. The bride and groom received many handsome presents.
Among those present were: Mr J. E. Haddon and family, Mr C. L. Haddon and family, W. E. Allen and family, J. N. Walker and family, Elmer Haddon, Ina Simmons, Ernest Lambert, Miss Vine, Jack Walker, Elem Jones, G. G. Delamarte, C. H. Cox and wife and many others whom the writer did not know.
